So my twin sister called me last night saying she found our paternal aunt (we are adopted) through ancestry DNA which ment she found our birth father. I don't know how to feel about it. I mean for family medical history it could be good. But the guy was in prison when we were born and I never forget my dad saying when they called him in prison to inform him we were being adopted that his rights were going to get relinquished the man asked my dad for money......Guess he doesn't remember us being born cause he had a stroke a few months back and we also have 3 more half siblings.....to be honest I never felt a connection with them they are complete strangers and we came from a rough backround so is it bad that I'm hesitant to get to know them seeing how my sister and I are doing well? But my twin just expects me to be as excited and I'm not all I can say is oh.....

I've been on the other side of this just recently. My adopted sister just found me 2 months ago after 28 years. If you want to message me you're more than welcome to. I obviously don't know what it's like being adopted but I definitely know the other side of things. I also do not know my birth father.

Do not do anything to add stress to your life mama. I have a father who's been mia on me my entire life - & if he was on his deathbed I wouldn't waste my time.

This is tati (dad) he used to say if I hear you or your sister call me by my name Sasho I will smack you ! We called him Sasho when we where little since why your tati hit mommy so much ! He was adopted by European parents but I heard he was half Arabic and his real mom was a professor in a school and cheated with a student then tati was born put for adoption! Now I'm here Bulgarian ( from Europe)and Arabic (from mysterious where) the search continues !!!!!

So as you know, we're on the path of adoption and I found this woman online in a pretty popular pregnancy forum. She made a post about possibly giving her twins for adoption and after talking it over with my significant other, we decided there would be no harm in emailing her. I'll post her response in the comments but please tell me, is this how it normally is or is this person possibly using others for gain?
