Really. How affective is breastfeeding as a birth control after I have my baby boy in October? Don't really wanna deal with the hassle of bc pills or patches but I also don't want to be pregnant right after I have my baby. (My husband's sex drive has been through the roof since I've been pregnant which is a shocker. So I want to make sure Im protected)

My doctor said it should be fine for six months or as soon as you get ur first period. She said that if I gave my baby anything other than breastmilk my milk would change therefore prompting my fertility to come back. 🤷♀️🤷♀️

Definitely not a reliable birth control. Never even heard of that actually and I saw a breastfeeding expert.

Not at all a birth control. You can get pregnant while breastfeeding

My ob told me that breastfeeding prevents your period from coming which affects fertility. That's why I was asking. It's definitely a thing, just wanted to know from mom's with experience if it's reliable
