I'm in need of some advice and please dont bash. My son was born December 20,2015 and he started getting teeth at 5 months so I had called an made a dentist appointment they had got him in at about his 6 month check up they said everything looked great to come back in 6 months which was close to his 1st birthday well I took him and they had said everything was great they put Floride on his teeth and told me to keep it up he had no problems what so ever I swabbed his mouth after every bottle or feeding and all well after his check up maybe a month and half later I started noticing spots on his top teeth I called and made another appointment I was worried they said he doesn't have any cavity's but it looks like bottle rot I was confused but I said OK and took pretty much all his juices away maybe one here and there changed his diet and how he ate my son hardly ate sweets they messed his stomach up and he preffered fresh fruits and vegetables. He only gets milk in the morning and with his dinner and I brush his teeth or swab his mouth with a rag after he eats or drinks so I'm not understanding how this is happening at all one of his top teeth are at a nub basically and I'm getting so worried I have called a new dentist and have an appointment next week I feel like I have failed as a mother already and I thought I was doing everything right. please any advice or anybody that had this experience please comment I dont know what to do anymore.
Are you letting him fall asleep with a bottle or sippy? My sons doctor told me I had to make sure he didn't go to bed with a bottle or sippy because milk sitting in his mouth was gonna lead to bottle rotting @kaykay1220
Awww that sucks! Good idea with going to a new dentist. I hope they figure it out soon. @katiebug122015
Im going to a new detentist next week hopefully they can help out and def stopping the flouride treatments and I just hope it doesn't cause damage to his adult ones the two side ones at the top literally are nubs almost to the gum like it ate his enamel away @jade2017
They say it could cause thrash if you didnt wipe there mouths out something I read I was a ftm so I was reading everything lol n doing the most prob and I just hope it doest cause any harm to any other teeth he only has 8 right now I see the humps to his back ones but a little worried @beebaby
I dont know about being allergic but i wouldnt let him have any more flouride treatments for awhile. My best friends top teeth got messed up at the dentist bc of that on her front teeth are brownish but lucky these are his baby teeth and he will loose them. Maybe he is just sensitive to it. @katiebug122015
But they said there was no cavities they just said bottle rotting but my sons teeth were perfect before they put the fluoride on them then literally after that they just got these spots @js_kidsmom
Yes its brown spots on three of his top teeth and his two beside his front teeth are basically deterating like almost gone and I'm not understanding what I'm doing wrong could he be allergic to the fluoride maybe ? @jade2017
No he gets water right before bed @notsocatchthemall
