Why is there not more awareness for postpartum depression when it's so common? Women should not be embarrassed or shamed for something that is completely out of their control. The same goes for depression while pregnant, yes it is supposed to be one of the happiest experiences of our lives and it's not easy when everyone around you expects you to be happy or will make you feel bad because you can't feel that happiness at the moment. Does it mean you love or are going to love your child any less? Of course not. These things need to be talked about. We shouldn't be scared to reach out.

That's why so many stars like Hayden panitere (probably miss spelled it) and Chrissy Teagan and Brooke shields have been opening up about it to try and help women know it's ok and that is ok to go get help
