So feeling a little hurt tonight. My husband washed his work clothes and put them in the dryer today but he never checked on them. I went to get his clothes and they was wet dryer was never started so I let him know it would be a minute. Remind you he wouldn't get up for work and kept yelling at me every time I would wake him up. So he went to get his clothes after I started and couldn't find his shirt and started yelling at me who did not even put them in the dryer but started them saying I didn't put it in there. He found it of course and then yelled at me cuz his belt wasn't still on his pants. I didn't start the damn laundry so I don't know where it is. He found that in a different pair of jeans. He then proceeded to tell me I need to shut the fuck up and know my spot and go get a job I just quit my job had some complications and it was just an overload of stress so it led me to quitting. I get he doesn't like doing it alone but I have raised all three of the boys alone without his support mentally and physically. I'm just tired of hearing how stupid I am or how much of a cunt I am. I have been with him for 10years total and I am sitting here planning a big thing for his birthday even though he hasn't even put to mind that Mother's Day is coming. I just want to give up and walk away but I can't.

What's holding you back from leaving? If this has been an ongoing thing, what keeps you with him? Emotional and mental abuse exists and it sounds like you may be going through it. Perhaps you can look for marriage counseling, or if things are bad support in your community for housing, or resources for families with young children. I understand men being stressed and getting testy, but judging from what you're saying, it sounds like you're being trampled on emotionally. No woman deserves to have a man (or anyone) treat her like that.

He didn't use the c word for real did he?? No one deserves to be treated that way. Just know you are a good mom and that those babies love you.

@kimberlyyyy_the-preemie-mom, the only thing that keeps me here is the amount of love I have for him. I have left before and came back with promises that things would get better. They was better for a very short time and I feel like I'm going to be in the same place I was just only a year ago. It hurts and I cry so much but sometimes I feel like it's my fault because maybe I could do more or be more. But then I ask myself what more can you do to make it ok again. I try to be sexual to him and get nothing like he's not even interested in me. I cook him his favorite things and have to beg him to eat with me and the boys as a family. If I want a date night I have to plan it and compromise with him. I just don't know anymore I try so hard. I've asked for counseling and he told me no and then when we are arguing it's my fault we don't go. When I tell him I will just go get a job and not have time with our child and enjoy these last few months with them before they all start their first year of school he tells me how he doesn't want me to go get a job. I get it's hard to keep up with just his income but I know we can do it but he guilts me about money all the time. I'm just tired of the name calling and feeling alone.

Just off of what you're saying, it sounds like he's controlling you (by him telling you not to get a job.. if you don't get a job, "you can't leave"). You already mentioned he guilt trips you over money. I can't remember all the stages, but in my first comment I mentioned emotional and mental abuse, to add to that there are stages of said abuse, one is the honeymoon stage where the parter convinces you they will change and things will get better, and they do for awhile before reverting back to their old self.

It's hard when you love someone. I understand 100%.

Think of it this way. Answer it honestly to yourself. Would you be better staying with him? Or would you be better without him? Hopefully when you can answer that with confidence you can figure out the next steps to take. I wouldn't tell you to leave him since I don't know you, him, or the situation, but I'd you feel unappreciated and you've had discussions about how you feel and it's not getting better, it may be time to consider other options. Like I said, you shouldn't have to go through things like this. Occasional issues are part of every marriage/ relationship but there are times when signs should be observed and choices are worth looking into. I wish you all the best. You and your children deserve a happy life full of love and positivity.

I'm praying for you and your family no one should be put down like that you are doing a great job just remember your kids can feel you unhappy , it does sound like emotional abuse in a way and I hope it gets better and you guys find a solution !! Much love
