Any mommas have newborns and have acrylic nails? I would get a manicure but my nail shape is not worth it.. I'd rather have acrylics.. but I don't want to scratch my baby. :(

Personally I like to meet my nails short since it's easier to keep them clean that way. Hah thanks for the reminder, I need to clip my nails!

I do. I used to get them squared but after I had him I switched to oval. Now that here's older I'll switch between the two. Not a big problem for us as far as scratching.

I HATE it. I can't tickle my son because im afraid I'll hurt him. I accidentally scratched his for head today because he was sitting and started falling over, so i caught him but scratched him. Its hard to wipe him when i change him because again I'm scared I'll scratch him. I HIGHLY recommend just getting a manicure, they will shape your nails and fix them up. @breeee it's not fun having nails and a small baby 😩

I would think it would be hard to maintain them, I wouldn't want to leave my newborn for an hour or more to go to a nail appointment or bring him around all the fumes. That's just me tho.

**WARNING** MOMMAS!! I highly recommend AGAINST the acrylic(fake) nails while having a baby!

**WARNING** MOMMAS!! I highly recommend AGAINST the acrylic(fake) nails while having a baby! Today my youngest started choking on a puff snack and me having acrylic nails could not get it out of her throat! THANK GOD my hubby was off today and got it for me so she could breath! It scared me to death and I immediately took my acrylic nails off. Just A warning for moms out there because I did not think about that happening when I got them! PS: always try the upsidedown while patting their back thing first, before trying to get anything out of their throat.

So I've heard you can't have acrylic nails on or nail varnish when in labour due to if you need a section or if you want an epidural. Does anyone know the do's and don'ts. It's just I hate not having nail varnish on my toe nails I hate feet and toes in general so I could keep my socks on I guess, but I wanted acrylics on or at least nail varnish on my nails as at the moment 34weeks pregnant I don't feel quite as lady like with the constant sorry for tmi but leaking, and been the size of a buda waddling about I just wanted to feel a little more me.
