My exclusively breastfed baby refuses the bottle. She's 4.5 months old and I can't ever leave her with family or a babysitter. When presented with the bottle, she screams and flips out until I start nursing her. Does anyone have any advice on how to get her to take the bottle?
@cubanese she used it a lot because of the shape of her nipples. But when trying to bottle feed, she found one that matched the texture. Thank you so much. I'm still trying to get as much research about breast feeding. My first time around I was given a lot of bad advice. So now I just pay attention to my aunt who has breast fed 3 of her 5 kidsm
Thanks for the advice. I've been trying for weeks now. I'll take the dog for a walk while my husband tries with the bottle. I bought 8 different bottles in hopes that she might take different nipples. So far, no luck. Just an angry baby who only wants my boobs
@cubanese oh, it worked for my aunt. So I figured it might for her. The nipple shield had the same texture and shape as the bottle nipple
@allyk.xmommy, thanks so much for the advice. I'll try the nipple shield
Try a nipple shield to get her use to a different texture, then when introducing the bottle, hold it close to your breast so she thinks it's coming from it
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
In a month or so you can try giving her a cup. My son was the same way, never took to bottles but at 6m I started giving him the 360 cup & he loves it.
