@dsegu895, whatever the policy is at the time ur leave starts is what u will get the same happen to me I was due sept 2 and they started new benefits sept 30 but I had to prepare in writing on jul 31 but couldn't apply till 30days prior to my due date which was aug 2 so from July 31 to aug 2 I couldn't sleep in fear I wouldn't get nothing. It all worked out I got the exact same as @mommab4, then after my 12 weeks I turned in my resignation. But I told my boss as soon as baby was one month old I wasn't returning. Ladies just consider this your baby is only little once if u can stay home do it. I don't regret it one bit.

@mommab4, I have to borrow against my pto because my job is transitioning to new benefit policies in august. I have no clue what applies to me right now. Although I do know I get 100% pay for the 6wks. I am going to need clarification asap because I'm due in 2wks via csection, although could be less because I can tell this baby is ready now. I've tried partnering with others within the company who've gone through this process recently & have had no reply nor redirection.

I don't understand either. I pay for short term disability.. so they said if I'm approved in will receive 60% of my pay for 6 weeks and then the other 6 weeks will be unpaid. I will have to use all of my sick and vacation time for the remaining of my fmla

I am still confused about filing for mine. Not sure how to deal & the companies don't explain much.
