It's a learning process and I'm to a point with my son sometimes all I have to do is give him "the look" lol

Yes you can be stern with out raising your voice I battled this too but I started talking more calmly yet assertive and it worked out better

@amaperalta03, I agree . Now all I have to do is be stern without raising my voice . Sometimes the sound of my own voice yelling frustrates me - my one year old is very active and smart I have to learn to adjust my directives

Wow. She has been screaming and yelling lately to express herself - that makes much sense now

#mombassadorchat Moms, Done with diapering? Today we're chatting all things potty training with @smilingwithmyawesome4kids, who is a mombassador and admin of the very popular potty training group in the app. Share your potty training stories, ask questions and share tips on this post. @smilingwithmyawesome4kids will also answer any questions! Here's her bio and general tips: Hello I am Ceiamaria I am a stay at home Mother to 4 children ages 12,8,7 and 11 months old. I am happily married for 12 years and we are still going strong. I am determined and driven for success FAILURE isn't an option for me. I potty trained my oldest at 9 months old. My 2 middle son's were more difficult they were between 18 months and 2 years old. My baby boy was showing interest in potty training, I decided to buy him a potty chair. Potty training tips 1.) Don't rush your child 2.)Don't yell at your child 3.) Don't punish your child for having accidents 4.) Don't give you child candy 5.) Don't compare other children to your child 6.) Do praise your child 7.) Clap your hands when your child goes to the potty. 8.)Take your child every 15-30 minutes to the potty 9.)Don't criticize your child 10.) I don't recommend pull ups but I don't bash mothers who decided to use them. 11.) Remember potty training is not taught in one day you have to be determined to potty train your child.
