Well. Hospitals want to push pitocin and c sections and episiotomies. I know they don't ALWAYS but wanting to have a natural birth is like a HUGE burden to them. They want to take your baby away immediately to run tests and clean them up and cover them in goo and shoot things into them. They say they're so focused on the birth that they won't "have time" to follow your birth plan "to the T." They want you to labor in bed and not eat or drink anything. They control your entite birth and I just don't want that.

@spazzy_jazzy, if u don't mind me asking what was ur main reason in not choosing a dr but going with a birthcenter. I only ask bc I have been telling my husband since I was 20w preg with my son I didn't wanna do it at the hospital I wanted a natural he wasn't to excited about the ideal I went ahead with my dr and was able to have a all natural hospital both but now I say dr didn't do much but catch baby and give me 2 tiny stitches. Hubby is confident I can do it now later when we plan number 2 but I really love my dr I just hate the hospital rules etc. my entire fam thinks I'm nuts except for my hubby and I told him to catch baby and he thinks I'm a little crazy. I'm confident I can do it bc labor was hard but it wasn't that hard I mean I have had worst toothaches n my life.

I loved having a midwife over an OB! I had a great experience. She was way more caring and helpful than my OB

She is just all about hospitals and doctors and is worried that midwives don't know what they're doing.

No, this midwifery has a birth center. I live in an apartment so I can't exactly have a home birth lmao.
