So I am not that much of a Church goer. I am agnostic and have doubts with a lot of questions. My husbands family are huge about church. I was forced to go twice but I refused to go into service. My husband and I agreed that after Easter we weren't going to go anymore. Suddenly he tells his mom that we might be going every Wednesday. Without speaking to me about it.
I find no joy being forced into a place where I am uncomfortable. I am an introvert as well, which means I have anxiety around people I don't know or anxiety with crowds.
No shame those who go to Church. You do you. I just don't like it.
Sounds like when my SO family keep talking to me about baptizing my son. If he isn't baptized hes going to be some 'animal/wild child' like shit, I'm not very religious. I don't think baptizing my kid is going to change him from the way he is now, it's just a title for me.
You're a grown women. You can stay home if you want. Your husband and his family cannot force you into going somewhere you dont feel comfortable. Dont let him force you. And if he gets mad oh well.
Well honestly if you don't want to go then he will be going by himself. If you don't believe there is no point in going. To me religion, spirituality, and beliefs are a personal decision...
