@veganlife, exactly! The baskets look pretty and colorful but it teaches kids they are expected to receive a gift for every holiday! When it shouldn't be like that! It's about family! 💙
@babynessa, I agree, also it's consumerism, The big companies make a profit off of the consumers buying stuff like that. ☺️ abd we buy into all. I stopped years ago. Easy for me too too bc my daughter was 12. Lol
@babynessa, sorry girl but that comment is way to long for me to be interested. Lol
Because it's something fun for them. They don't really understand what's going on just that Easter has a bunny and mom and dad give me a basket. When Easter is really about Jesus Christ's resurrection. Like Christmas why do children get gifts and why is there a big fat dude called santa. They don't understand that Christmas really resembles the day God was born not a day for gifts. Just something Americans made that day about. Same with Thanksgiving why make all the food and eat until your about to be sick when in reality Thanksgiving is about the Plymouth colonist and Wampanoag Indianas sharing an autumn feast together in 1621. Just something fun for the kiddos to look forward to same as every other holiday Americans have made. Valentine's Day, 4th of July, the Tooth Fairy etc.
The toys and candy inside lol my kids aren't getting candy. Clothes and toys inside theirs
@breeee, yes! so glad someone else feels the same way.
