I keep seeing posts saying co-sleeping is not safe. Co-sleeping can be completely safe. I co-slept until I was about 8, my niece co-sleeps most nights with my mom, my little sister co-sleeps, and my daughter co-sleeps with me every night. A baby can get hurt or die while sleeping alone just as they can while sleeping with someone, what matters is being safe. I hate sleeping alone and my daughter is the same way, I am not going to stress her by trying to force her to sleep alone so she sleeps in my arms every damn night. If I roll over she goes with me. If she whines or gets restless in her sleep I know immediately and I comfort her. If she gets hungry or thirsty I'm right here. Don't allow other's bad experiences with co-sleeping or even doctors dictate what you feel is right. You do what is best for you and your child.
@charong That's my thing. It's so taboo and it shouldn't be but when new moms see seasoned moms saying it's bad they feel guilty for doing it and may stop because of it.
@andrewsmommy We have a king as well and there's only 3 of us and it's definitely not large enough lol
@sixplusones I feel like moms have an extra sense as to when their child is in danger and we are not given credit for it. I have started to roll over before but I woke up immediately, if I roll over in middle of night she goes on my tummy and goes with me and I wake up enough to do so. I get so much more sleep co-sleeping and breastfeeding.
@rhealize My thing is one day they won't want to snuggle so I'm gonna get all I can while she still wants to.
@madismommy I had a doctor talk to me like an idiot for co-sleeping. I looked at him and firmly said I've been doing it since the day she was born and I will continue doing so, she is perfectly safe in my arms. Then he tried to tell me there are risks still and I shut him up with a "that's life". All the other doctors at the peds. office respected me for my choice but him. I make sure to tell them I won't see him when I schedule appointments.
Yea i co slept with every single one till there were like a year old plus then around that time they started kicking an rolling alot so i put them in their own bed but overall they slept with me even after that i was lazy an didnt feel like getting up to breast feed/bottle feed an put the lil one back in its own bed five times a night that wouldve been a headace so i jus didnt do it i had beds bassinets swings basically places for them to sleep but never used them till they were older plus i was scared of sids although they say co sleeping wasnt safe, i knew I wouldn't roll on my baby or suffocate them on accident with a blanky i put my trust in god an he kept me an mines safe
I co sleep with my baby too! So does my aunt with her two kids and they grew up just fine! and my cousin does with her two boys! Agreed that these posts against co sleeping are a bit ridiculous :/
It's very true that a baby is unsafe when they sleep alone and cosleeping too, it's a matter of providing safety for both circumstances, like don't co sleep if you're drinking or on meds, and for crib safety don't have padding -both ways can have a safe environment and also can be dangerous if not carried out properly! Both methods require proper education and research, don't judge the other based on someone else's expense lack of knowledge-I wouldn't imagine not cosleeping with my daughter! She is so attached to me as I am to her and it provides a way of bonding for both of us💞
I wish my babies still slept with me. I love having my own bed, but I miss co-sleeping so bad! I still sneak my two year old into my room at nap time. 😂
Love this post!! You're so right. I love co sleeping with my daughter ! I hate when people talk crap to me about it. @ravens_mommy
We co slept too and lots of people don't admit they do it too
My son is 1 and still sleeps with us some nights. Our newborn does also. 4 people on a king is still not enough room lol
mommys who co-sleep
Did you tell lo doctor you were co-sleeping? What is the response im going to get from her dr this month? She is almost 6 months and weve been co-sleeping since 4 months. She starts the night out in bed until she wakes up to eat, and then she comes into my bed.

My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️

Her helmet she got so she can be safe (as she told me) when she rides her bike and scooter lol

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know
the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page
I co-sleep I lose sleep but i co-sleep. Why? My daughter doesn’t wake up not even once through the night because i co sleep. She never wakes up scared and alone from a nightmare because i co sleep. I really wish people would stop shaming co-sleeping just because you don’t do it or because society makes you believe you shouldn’t. You’re not babying your child or making them needy. You’re being a parent. You’re being present and showing them they are not alone. “Prop them up now so they can stand...
@elysiansmama I love the nightly snuggles. When we came home from the hospital I tried to get her to sleep on her own but I held her most of the time at the hospital so she wasn't having it. I even hold her during naps or she doesn't sleep long. However, my man won't hold her while he sleeps, he is too afraid of rolling on her and I get it. I barely slept first couple months until I figured out how to sleep lightly.
