This is a great article on the effects of TV too young, specifically before 18 months.
Before I knew I was letting my 4 month old watch MickeyMouse Clubhouse early in the am when I was still trying to wake up...she seemed to like it and would laugh when songs came on. I found out that even though the show is informative she really wasn't getting the positive effects from it and just liked the bright colors. It is better for her to be with me in the kitchen while I'm cooking/cleaning than in front of the TV! I am grateful for the world we live in because information is So easily available!

We are doing the no tv before 2 with my son...but I feel like it's almost impossible for him to never even see a minute of something since there are 3 kids and 2 adults in the house. Just usually face him the other direction or take him to his playroom.
3 month old bleeding monthly

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know

Is it rude to not want anyone at the hospital?
I was just informed that my MIL wants to be waiting at the hospital so as soon as I pop out the baby she can rush in to be with the baby. I am really a private person and dont really want anyone at the hospital when I give birth (except my husband). I was planning on calling all the family to come to the hospital once I was all cleaned up and ready for visitors. Am I being rude? How do I tell them I dont want visitors a minute after pushing out...
Oh yeah that totally makes sense. I don't think it's possible to Never expose your kids to tv before 2, me and my husband watch tv with our daughter all the time, I think the article is referring to plopping your kid in front of the tv to occupy their attention while you are off doing other things. If you are with them and interacting with them they are still benefiting from you.
