I am a first time mom that just divorced my husband a year ago. I began dating a wonderful man six months ago and...whoops. We're having a baby! He's been so great about everything, never once putting blame on me or stressing me out. My concern is the stress this will put on our relationship as we haven't been dating very long. Anyone else been in a similar situation? It's highly unusual, I know.
@morgan.whitcraft I was with my SO for two months when I got pregnant and in may it will be going on two years. It was very stressful because you don't know each other in that little of time and then you add a baby to the mix.
I feel like if he is a good dude and things are meant to be they will work out. If he is able to understand what you are about to go thru and willing to be there for you more power to him cause that is awesome. It shows he is willing to stick by your thru thick and thin. I think you will find out sooner rather than later though so that's prob a good thing. I have my fingers crossed that you guys stick it out together!! I also think and this is just my opinion cause I don't know the ins and outs of your relationship that maybe slowly ease him into the baby part of it? Is he excited? What are his thoughts? Some men I feel like are just ready to step into daddy role while other need a ton of time and patience cause they act like scared little kittens at first (this is my relationship sadly) good luck! I'll be waiting to hear some good stuff from you!
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
Yeah...it's a bit of a shock because just a year ago I'd been with the same guy for nearly a decade. He kept telling me he could have kids but we tried so hard and never could - I know now that he wasn't telling me the truth, about that and many other things. And then along comes this guy and WOW what a difference. He's sweet and thoughtful, and although our relationship is new-ish, I have few doubts about our ability to persevere together. I'm very very lucky. My only regret is not leaving my abusive husband sooner.
