I feel like my soon to be MIL doesn't get the fact that my child has 2 family sides. She acts as if my parents/family don't exist and it's extremely frustrating bc my mother is starting to feel like she's going to be left out and I feel so bad about it. Honestly, the woman is just making this whole thing about herself. Telling people how she's "more excited" than my fiancé and I about the baby. It's just annoying.
I more or less keep it to myself but I'm more than likely going to implode after baby is here bc I keep it all in. I do talk to him about how it bothers me sometimes and he sympathizes, he just doesn't get it from my point of view as mother. @bksmom_twinscomingsoon,
My mother in law has only seen my daughter once since she is born. She lives local and has cancelled 4 times for a visit. Yet she comments on every picture my husband posts of the baby saying "my baby" and "grandma's heartbeat"..... I want to take a trip over and slap her in her head. MILs can be a huge pain in the ass. What does your fiancé say?
@aleks_mommy, that's got to be hard. Just stand your ground and don't let her ruin this very special time for you.
