I made it clear I didn't want a bunch of visitors pouring in immediately after I had my baby. She was born 2 days ago, hasnt had her shots, and I would like some privacy with my fiancé and our new baby. Today about 20 people came over and passed her around like a football, I didn't get to hold her for hours except when she was nursing. And when guests left they thanked my MOTHER IN LAW for "sharing her baby" oh HELL no. She's MY Baby and if she gets sick I'm killing someone. I was in my room trying to nurse in private and MIL barged in (even though she knows I prefer privacy) and insisted I hurry because people want to see the baby. This is exactly what I was afraid of. I don't wanna be a bitch but I kinda just wanna tell everyone to fuck off and stay away from me and my baby. Especially my mother in law.

I didn't let anyone over for a week and when they did com over they only stayed for less than an hour. You gotta put your foot down. It's your house. Don't invite them over.
It is your baby. You dont have to let them see her. I would lock myself in a room. If she wants to take care of a baby so bad tell her to go have another one sheesh. Your going have to put your foot down better yet your man needs to tell his mom to back off some. Just makes me glad I moved an hour away from mine
Hell no I would of locked the bedroom door and if anyone knocked I would just simply tell them I dont want anyone around the baby right now. If they get mad and tell your MIL oh well its your baby. Your husband should still stand up and say something to your mom about that. That's rude of her.
@andrewsmommy, she didn't tell us, or ask if it was okay. people just started showing up and apparently she invited all these people over for dinner and to see my baby
Smh her telling you to hurry because people want to see her is where I would draw the line. You dont tell someone to hurry and feed their 2 day old baby because people want to meet her. Why didn't your husband tell her stop inviting people over?
Yeah I hated nursing with anyone else in the room I felt awkward even if it was my own parents
@elysiansmama, unfortunately she doesn't listen. If I tell her I'm tired she says "go sleep then I'll take care of her" but no. I don't like that. I want to take care of my baby, but i want to rest while she is sleeping, not have visitors. I have stitches in my vagina for gods sake I want some privacy for a while
@mommysbabies, clearly not. It's so annoying. Any time I go to my room to nurse my MIL gets pissed off and doesn't like when I take her to another room. Sorry, but I love that special bonding time with my baby and I don't want her to be a part of it. She was also pissed that she didn't get to be in the delivery room. It always has to be about her
Sad to say this happens too often! Family members get caught up in all the cuteness but fail to acknowledge that mom is still recovering and needs rest and privacy with her baby! I'd recommend talking with her and let her know how you need time with your baby alone, to please respect that. You may have to tell her more than once, that's what happened to me

What's wrong with a Bumbo?
I am visiting my in-laws for Mothers Day and I brought my daughters Bumbo along for the trip. Well my in-laws just thought it was the coolest thing. DH's cousin is pregnant and her mom asks her, "did you see the baby's Bumbo chair?" and she snaps "yes!", and her mom asks "do you want one for the baby?" and she goes "NO! I will never use one of those for my child!" and then no one said anything else about it.
I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!
😠 while talking to my mother in law on the phone, my toddler decided to shove her hand in the painting I was making for my son. My mother in law thought this was pretty funny, she laughed several times.

I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!
