I have to admit, I have absolutely no idea how to discipline my child 🙃. Up until this point I didn't really have to do anything but say "No, no" or "Stop that!" But it doesn't phase her anymore and now she's testing waters. I've tried popping her on the hand and nothing. I really do not want to spank/whoop her but because I was spanked thats the only thing I can think of doing. Any alternatives/suggestions?
@littlewillowsmommy, my daughter hits too and I have no idea where she learned it from and she pulls hair... it's going to sound really mean but when she pulls my hair I gently pull hers back and normally she stops after the 2nd time. When she hits me I ignore her too because normally she's trying to get my attention
yup I do time out especially for the hitting I feel like it makes no sense to hit them while telling them not to hit people
Okay, I'm going to definitely try these methods. Thank you ladies so much! @ilovemy2daughters @lovefaithkindness
@littlewillowsmommy my daughter started to hit and what i would do is put her in her bed no toys no games everytime she got up place her back on the bed
You can start whenever you like. The earlier you start the better. Maybe if you sit with her read her a book beside her?
That's what I'm thinking. Can i start time out at 1? Or is that too early. I can barely get her to sit still I don't think she'll fully understand why I'm holding her down in a chair lol @ashleyandadan @ilovemy2daughters
When I was little and would listen my mom wouldn't give us what we wanted and sometime she would sit us on a chair and tell us we are in time out until she let's us get up
What about when she starts hitting? Idk where my daughter learned to hit but everytime she gets mad she swings SMH 🙄😒
Following this. My daughter doesn't even react to "no" she just continues what she's doing.
Thank you si much. Its good to know that the hitting is mostly just attention thing rather than her wanting to hurt me 😂😂 I'll try ignoring her. @nicolerawrr
