So by my next appointment I'll be a day shy of 36 weeks. Do they start doing cervix checks yet?  If not how do I even go about asking my midwife to check?  My parents have been planning a vacation and they said if I'm dialated they aren't going to go.

I was checked at 37, on the verge of being 38. Even if you're dilated a little it doesn't mean a thing. I was at 3cm for 3 weeks.

I wasn't checked until 38 weeks

My doctor just told me that they'll be checking mine at every appt after the 35th week
