Ok I'm beyond frustrated, my daughter who is 3 1/2 has been showing some interesting signs of things that have alarmed me to bring up to her doctor such as lining toys up, not liking her teeth brushed and many other things. My son who is 6 has autism so of course I see signs of anything and bring it up to her doc he has shot down any potential possibility of her having autism. It seems to me since she has a sibling that he would at least have her tested!

Am I right?

Sometimes kids just do those things because they're kids. My boys hated brushing their teeth until I got them light up tooth brushes. And both went through phases where they threw fits if their shoes or socks didn't match or weren't strapped right. The oldest shows other mild signs of Autism too, but I used to nanny autistic children and I'm not worried about him just yet. A lot of those children had siblings without autism at all that just copied what their older siblings did sometimes.

However as her mother, you're totally in your right to get her tested if that's what you feel needs to be done. Just tell her doctor "I want her tested no ifs, ands, or butts."
