@winterbaby95, nobody is perfect and being a mum is fucking hard! So long as you love your child which you obviously do and she has everything she needs, you're not doing anything wrong! I know the feeling, you've just gotta know in your own mind you're doing your best! X

@jo.wilcox Yeah, I know I am doing the best for her...but it doesnt help having someone talking to you like you are doing things wrong...Telling me i am neglecting her...telling me I dont feed her..when I clearly do..telling me I dont read to her as much as I should be doing....asking if theres fresh water in her cup and when was it last changed..(Like am I stupid??) .....I just dont know what to do....Even when my mum isnt telling me I am doing something wrong.....the way she acts with me..looks at me..talks to me..you can tell she is disaproving......she wont let me turn her world facing in the pram...because apparently she needs to see me at all times...but she can see the world better and I can point to things better if she is that way... but i wont do it...because I just cant be asked with the grief....feels like I am always stepping on egg shells... x

@winterbaby95, I get that, I don't get told I'm doing things wrong as such, but my partners mum is always saying 'he needs a thicker coat on' 'make sure you take a blanket' 'he needs to be having water every day' like I know I'm not stupid. I hear what you're saying, it's ridiculously annoying and patronising, I've not found a way to deal with it. Is hard because it's not my own mum so I'm in awkward position, I usually just don't say anything but it winds me up more and more every time. You need to just lay it down straight to her that she's your child not hers and that the way you parent might be different to how she parented you but it doesn't make your ways wrong they're just different. I doubt anything will change unless you just say it how it is. I hear what you're saying though, as if being sleep deprived and having to clean the house, prepare food, clean clothes, feed your child, play with them, bath them day in day out isn't hard enough without someone constantly breathing down your neck and patronising you. Let's face it, if you were doing something wrong you wouldn't have your kid x

Awh Hun big hugs, it sounds like she's mentally abusing you as bad as it sounds. Stay strong sadly I don't think this will stop until you get your own place, I ain't got any advice but you're an amazing mum and you're doing the best you can, with YOUR daughter xx ❤

At the end of the day she's your daughter. You may live with your Mum but she does not make decisions on how you raise your child. If you want her forward facing, put her forward facing. People put you down & boss you about as long as you let them. You don't have to be rude (even though she is). But make it clear your in charge with what you're doing. Otherwise she'll continue to do what's she's doing. If your strong she'll eventually realise & take a back seat.
