You can just wipe it off with toilet paper or a baby wipe if you're carrying some. There's always going to be blood on the inside and outside once it's in so it doesn't really matter. But once home can be rinsed @saritaoside

How do you change it when u are out in a public restroom I figure it would be a bit messy

Yes try it. You'll feel so much cleaner compared. Sometimes tampons made my cramps worse too but not the cup @belle6414

Theres a few folds to learn. Kinda like origami. You fold it up and shove it in. Once its full you just take it out, empty it and redo it.

They're more comfortable once you get used to using it. Less chance of infection and cleaner. Way easier to swim and do sports with.
