Feeling pretty freaked out today. This is my first baby and the closer I get to meeting him the more excited I am but am also terrified. Like not sure what to do I feel like there's this giant mom secret book of how to out there that I know nothing about. I know it sounds stupid just feeling scared about the baby. Everyone tells me what a great mom I will be but just getting more nervous the closers it gets. Any advice out there would be so very appreciated.

You've got this. And no I didn't read any books or guides. All I did is remember what the nurses said at the hospital and try to keep it going. But babies are not as quiet as they are in the hospital once you bring them home... Lol

I know. You'll be scared and nerviys

And tired and sad and frustrated all of the above! But you can get through. By week 3 I had gotten used to her. Now she's almost two months and I know what cry means what and the best way to get her to sleep quickly and which bottle she prefers etc

You'll be fine. I was just as nervous as you, especially with a nicu baby. You'll do fine. Make sure you have help around. Don't worry you'll get to know your cues. And the nurses and doctors in the hospital could have some answers for ya
