So I've been reading and some articles say if a baby takes a binky or starts sucking their thumb it means they are still hungry and they're trying to self soothe. My baby will freak out if she's done and I try to put her back on but will take a binky? Any thoughts on this, I'm a first time mom and a worry wart

Sometimes it takes my son a moment to realize that he's full cause he eats very quickly.
She'll root for food or eat her fist if she's still hungry too. :)
She will let you know if she's still hungry. Just trust your instincts, mama. If she doesn't want to relatch, she's probably done, even if she takes a pacifier or sucks her thumb. Babies are programmed to suck. This is totally normal. Don't freak out.
@morganmommy79, she will fall asleep on me also sometimes. But sometimes when she's just hungry and not sleepy she will cry when she's done and then take her binky and be fine
Some babies will self soothe and some won't. Mine won't. I think they will let u know if they're hungry. Soothing themself helps them go to sleep. Some like pacifiers and some like blankets. My baby falls to sleep pacifying on me.

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing.
