To anyone who had a preemie baby, do you know when they start to baby talk ?

My nephew was born 7 weeks early and he didn't walk untill 2 1/2

@marilynmichelle, mine was also! She did some things right on time others based on her gestational age... all kids are different so don't get too worried! 😉

Not sure how early yours was... my daughter was 7 weeks... and she was basically right on track for everything... I don't remember when it was... but it was within a couple weeks of when a non-preemie did things... they say to adjust to your babies gestational age... so take the age and subtract the amount of weeks early... and then use that to figure when your child should be meeting the developmental stages

My nephew in law was preemie. At 2 he barely learned to say mama and daddy. Hes 3 now and still doesnt say things clearly. My sister in law said he walked by 1 but his speech was going to be veey behind. He was 1 month early

Mine didn't talk for awhile until she got speech therapy my doctor told me she was going to be behind since she was born early
