How overdue did YOU go?
I'm 40+2 and counting with baby #2... 💙💗
@lovingmykids123, crazy how that fully developed baby was inside your belly just days ago!
@lovingmykids123, makes sense. My doc said babies are at their best potential between 39 and 41 weeks. Congrats on your little one ❤
when I was around close to 30 weeks I was n so much pelvic pain ppl told me to see if I can get induced at 37weeks he said no because they don't think babies are full term he told me the quickest I can be induced is 39 weeks
@lovingmykids123, I pray it goes well for you!! Healthy mom and healthy baby is the goal ☺️ May I ask why they are inducing you?
@jennatess, totally normal! I can't believe I had my baby! I was expecting it, thought I would go closer to 42 weeks myself
@lovingmykids123, I feel you there! You want baby to be fully developed and ready but mamas are ready sooner for sure! Heck, we keep growing too and it's not exactly all that fun hahaha Personally, I've never been a fan of being pregnant. Just love babies!
@ashleywhite, 48 hours? Buckets!! I guess first kiddo kinda makes sense but I'm glad that's over with and behind you now! I was at a 4 the morning before I went into labor with my first. Went from 6 to 10 in 6 hours. So i keep thinking this time will go faster but I guess it truly depends on the child. Some are more stubborn than others! 🤗🤣😍
@energizederica21 I'm 35 weeks and wish I can go early . I feel over due but I'm no where near .
Nope! I was 4 cm for a longggg time lol it took 48 to get me from 4 to 10 😅
@ashleywhite, goodness gracious. Did you go in not dilated at all? 10cm is sure a long way to go when it's started artificially.. It's so crazy how some children decide they don't wanna come out for like ever while others decide to come early as hell! I don't understand it at all lol
@levismom, awhh. Well while I can say that I know what labor feels like, I chose the epidural as soon as they asked and so I don't know what it's like to feel birthing a baby and that's something I want to feel this time. I know things will go as they should and so thank you for sharing your story! It really helps me find peace of mind in the end goal. The story isn't the most important part, the baby is! And there are always opportunities to try again if we so wish 😏☺️
@energizederica21, I prayed for that! I didn't want to be induced for a number of reasons. The #1 reason, I know this sounds crazy, was because I wanted to feel labor. I wanted to experience it, and to know what it felt like so I knew what to expect the next time around.
I honestly was never big on having a set birth story or plan. My end game was to have a happy, healthy baby and I did. 😊 Nothing will ever taint what an incredible experience giving birth to my first child was. 💙💙
I was induced at 42 and a half weeks 😭 haha I was miserable. Then my labor lasted 48 hours
@levismom, how interesting to go into labor on your own the day before scheduled! I'm praying for that! We do what's best for our babies and our bodies, so I completely understand your choices. ❤ I hope that next time things are easier of course! But you've got yourself a precious baby in the end regardless ☺️
@energizederica21, thank you! Kind of. So I was scheduled to induce on Monday 11/21, but I went into labor on my own 11/20 @ 4am. I got stuck at a 4 for a few hours and they kept asking me about pitocin. I had GBS and I told them I would not do pitocin until I received the recommended amount of antibiotics to safely bring him in. So they administered the pitocin around 12:30p when I had finally reached 5cm but got stuck there. 2 hours later I was at a 6 and then 1 hour later it was go time. I pushed for an hour and a half. They were in a hurry and honestly, after 8 hours of labor and not a whole lot of progress, we were too. My labor was fine, even with interventions. I was in labor for a total of 13 hours. Next time, I might not let them push me to do pitocin though.
@lovingmykids123, ❤❤ went early with my first so this is just a huge surprise for me!
i know lol
