Bit of a strange one but has anyone had silver go 'tarnished'. It's real silver, Charlie has a chain with a little dog tag on it with his name and date of birth.. I took it out of its box months ago (never worn!) and it had all black scratchy stuff on it.. took it to the jewellers and he did some 'Rojan plating' or something or other and said t wouldn't happen again.. pulled it out the box today for him to finally wear for the first time and the same thing has happened again 🙄 sorry totally random but just wondered if anyone knows 🤔

Yes, silver goes black after sometime :) I've had to clean my mums silver stuff a few times :) Just get a silver polish :) the black will rub straight off xx

@winterbaby95, thankyou. So it's totally normal then! Seems weird that it's happening when it's never been worn thigh. And he fact he ripped me off saying this plating would stop it. At least I know it's a cheap fix with some silver polish :) x

@jo.wilcox Yeah, very normal hun :) silver does go black if you dont wear it :) I will find the polish i use on my mums in the morning if you like? Yeah i think you got ripped off hun....Dont think anything can stop it xxx
