@jo.wilcox that's good 😝 my boyfriend gets grossed out by me farting which is pretty rich considering mine never smell and his reeks, so I don't trust him not to be affected by it x
@jo.wilcox I wonder what it'd be like watching yourself give birth... Might ask for a mirror lmfao. I don't want my boyfriend looking because I love sex and just know it'll put him off x
@jessyab, lmfao 😂😂 fair point. Same when they get all funny about 'no i don't want to incase it pokes the baby head' like dude cmon I'm not tryna put you down but get real you ain't coming close 😂 x
@jessyab, sooo different from one to the next! Tbh I don't really remember 🤔 I was in so much pain and hadn't slept literally hadn't slept a single minute for 4 days straight so I was kinda not with it haha. I think they use some kind of stick but I could be totally wrong 😂 x
@jessyab, I had a show but not a bloody one, I never had much of a show at all tbh just very minute amounts. I was a week over due and the midwife had to break my waters 😐 x
@rose123610 I haven't had a bloody show though :/ I did read sometimes people have them during labour and not before but it'd be nice to see the sign x
@jo.wilcox that's really sweet awh, and the fact they welcomed you in the home that'd become yours... Yes, you've got a mini you in the world now x
@jessyab, I was young and 'madly in love' 😂 you do what you gotta do lol. Yup he flew out on the 1st and I moved in on the 4th, the hour and a half car journey with his dad I met twice was super fun 😂😂 but if I didn't drop out of college and make rational decisions, I wouldn't have my chunky Charlie, and I wouldn't change that for anything x
@jo.wilcox omg that's crazy! I can't believe you moved in as he was flying out hahaha, but it seems to have worked out nicely for you guys. You have a real love story! 😊 lmao x
Tbh everything happens quite quick for us.. I mean for a while it was a Skype relationship 😂😂😂🙈 we got together in may and didn't actually meet until the September (2014) cos my parents were like crazy strict.. then I moved to my dads (October 2014) went to stay at my oh, cam back to my dads, went to stay at my oh again, went back to my dads then 3 days later I moved in with my oh (November 2014) AND he's with his parents so I moved in but he flew out to France to work with his uncle so I'd just moved in without him there with his parents I'd only met twice 😂😂 ah crazy I must've been lmfao. Like the L'Oréal advert, that did make me laugh 😂👌 x
@jo.wilcox me and my boyfriend have only been together for just over a year haha, everything's happened so fast for us. Awh that's so cute! Can't believe your labour was so long :o but yeah, you know it can't get much worse than that and it's lovely to hear how it's worth it. Feel like that'll be my mantra during labour, it'll be like I'm the L'Oréal ad on repeat x
@jessyab, ah that's handy, yeah it would work the same way I'd imagine. Aww no, me and my partner were long distance but I moved in a year before we got pregnant. I couldn't put him down at first, I had to stay in for a few days and I swear I got excited when he woke in the night for a bottle haha. I know it's so hard having to wait not knowing what their face is going to look like! At first it did but now I know it's worth it, I had a back to back labour (78 hours long) and the hospital wouldn't have me in until was 8cm so I was too far for pain relief so I know that's literally the hardest it can get for me, it's just so worth it! X
@jo.wilcox oh apparently they do a 'revitalising shower gel, shampoo and conditioner', do you reckon that would work in a similar way? Ah okay, my boyfriend lives a bit away that's all but tbh most of the travel is sitting down anyway so I'll be alright. Yeah exactly, plus you can be physically exhausted but the second your baby falls asleep you can't just switch off your brain! Ahh I think I'll be attached to him for the first few weeks at least, it'll be so weird going from having him inside for 9 months where I can't see him to him being physically in front of me omg. Haha that's probably a good idea. Nice to know labour hasn't put you off that much then :') x
@jessyab, aww no! I guess you could still use it a shower gel but it may not work as well? And when you have a shower, fill the sink with hot water with it because the aroma sets off helps to relax you and helps you get to sleep. Umm I tbh I can't remember, I'd been out of hospital for one day and went out for the day and was walking non stop for 4 hours, I was in agony after though.. 3 or 4 weeks maybe? Nope you're right it's total bullshit haha, you don't stop just cos your baby has, there's too much stuff to do! Aah that's good then, take advantage of having a helping hand, it will make the biggest difference. I hate leaving Charlie, I've never really been apart from him for more than a couple hours but if someone offers to take your little one out for the day, don't say no, enjoy the time alone to relax! It's honestly amazing, I'm so broody it's unreal haha. No more babies for me though until Charlie is in school! X
@jo.wilcox I've just looked badedas up and it's for the bath? I don't have a bath 😔 I'm likely going to be bottle feeding so I'll hopefully avoid that problem! How long could you not go on long walks for? (not that I'll want to straight away anyway haha), and I told my boyfriend about that sleep thing being bullshit and he completely disagrees with me, probably so I'm not allowed to say I haven't slept or complain 😂 thankfully I'm living with my parents atm so I'll be able to get a little nap in here and there (maybe). Aww I can imagine, I felt that way with my niece and nephew so I know it's going to be so much stronger with my own child. Sorry for writing one back oops x
@jessyab, I know right! I didn't really think there was much else to no but there's so much more to it than the obvious! I mean not to scare you but you basically can't piss for weeks after, and number twos (tmi) forget about it :| they ask you at the hospital before you're discharged if you've done both, in my advice just lie and say yes else they'll keep you in until you have. Poring warm water down 'there' will help the weeing pain but it won't completely stop it. I also found it felt weird to breath after birth 🤔 buy something called 'badedas' I swear it will help your downstairs heal so much quicker! It was my saviour. Once your boobs start fully producing, if you don't express in enough time they'll be mega tender but when you express it it's like an instant relief like, better than sex 😂 if you wanna go out, do it but I wouldn't do any mega long walks because your belly and your hips end up hurting pretty quick. Just plenty of sitting down and resting really :P but one thing I will say is 'sleep when your baby sleeps' is utter bullshit :| it doesn't work trust me, your either cleaning bottles, prepping milk or finally bathing for the first time in days! I hope I haven't put you off 😂 it's so worth t I can't even explain the instant love you feel the first time you see that baby, you really don't know what love is until you're holding your own child. Sorry for the essay haha x
@jo.wilcox I hear you! Everything I know is from research but even then a lot of it is from forums and other mums, they don't inform you of anything. No wonder first time mums are often a mess, I have no idea what to expect after birth 😐
@unimummy sounds similar to what I'm getting now (though mine is quite on the green side). I also got it in my second trimester for a week or so which is why I'm thinking my current 'snotty discharge' is nothing more than that. I personally don't think you need to be worried but if you are you can always call up or ask your midwife/nurse at your next appointment xx
@unimummy, tbh I wouldn't say so! I'm no expert obviously but I never stressed when I had the same, just general pregnancy discharge! It's not nice but it's one of those things 😂 unless it's like blue or something crazy I wouldn't worry :)
Sorry to butt in girls but Im 25 weeks pregnant and I've been getting "snot like " discharge today . It looks just like a show but there is no blood in it and it is pretty much clear coloured . Should I be worried ? @jessyab, @jo.wilcox, xx
@jessyab, lovely 😂 its things like this I never got warned about, I only knew cos I was constantly reading pregnancy stuff. All you basically get told is yeah you get pregnant, go into labour, give birth and is all a bit painful. Don't tell you about leaking snot 😂 nor did anyone tell me how painful it is to wee after birth 😳
@jo.wilcox it's so weird haha, I've had a slight cold as well so I've been coughing up snot/flem and sneezing it out as well 😂 green mucus everywhere eww.
Oh the joys of pregnancy that nobody warns you about 😂 I wouldn't worry about it at this stage, just everything starting to clear itself out for the big day :P
