For first time Moms: how was labor and delivery for you guys? Was it everything that was expected? Did your baby come on your due date? Also has anyone had a water birth and so what was your experience? Please share!
No at 37 weeks I had cholstasis so my son being in there past 37 weeks put his life at risk and could have caused him to be still born
@mommy2benntley, so you got induced on your due date? If so that's what I want to do I can't wait any longer
I got induced everything went fine I didn't want meds but towards the end I got iv meds I signed for epidural but it was to late I signed and then looked at the nurse and said I need to push and she told me to wait for dr luckily she was already in the door way and 15 minutes later my son was here it was really easy at least that's what the nurses told me that I made it look easy once they broke my water everything speed up
@raquely, wow I'm just hoping for the best wish me luck 😫😩
@aylenrose, @raquely, thank u for sharing your experience it seems as though everyone I know who are first time Moms had their child early or late I'm so nervous!
Its painful and will probably take awhile (13 hours for me) you definitely know when you are in labor. Once you get the epidural if you choose to get one it makes it so much easier and less painful. My son was due December 2nd but I had him December 6th 2016. So he was late my water was low when i got checked December 5th so they kept me and were going to induce me late that night but I ended up going into labor on my own before that. Lol

I went into labor early with my first born. I had a scheduled doctors appointment that day. I went in and after being checked, Dr says, have you been having any pain? Nope no pain why? Bc your in labor and need to be admitted. Felt one contraction after being admitted, got my epi and baby was born shortly after. Second was a whole different story lol. Went into labor early, showed up to the hospital in so much pain I felt like I was dying. I got my epi but it didn't work. I was screaming like they do in the movies and cussing everyone out. Kept telling the Dr I had to pee and they wouldn't let me. Kept saying I didn't have to that it was baby. Started pushing and pissed all over everyone. It hurt like hell and I lost a lot of blood. As soon as I had her, there was no more pain. During my first I didn't even realize the placenta passed thanks to the epi, so I was pretty mad with my second when they told me I had to push again after she was born lol. I have decided on no meds with this one.
