Hello Moms! I am new to this app, but already it looks amazing. I've been looking for a good to for Mom advice and I hope I found it. 😊 Anyway, I am currently in need of suggestions. I have a 17 month old daughter who has 2-3 boils on her bottom. She had one about a week ago, it drained on it's own quickly, we saw her pediatrician and she told us 2 warm baths a day and antibiotic ointment in the area. Then bam, it went away fairly quickly. Well today, she had a couple more pop up. I called her doctor after hours and she told me to continue what she said before and come see her in the morning. My question is, have any of you mother's had something like this happen to your LO? Possible triggers? Should I eliminate all soaps, lotions and creams? Like I said, we are seeing her doctor tomorrow, I'm just looking for Mom advice. I'm very concerned, especially about Staph. Thank you ladies!
Have her tested for MRSA they told me it was spider bites but I new it wasn't so another doctor tested me it's a Swab they put in the nose
@dreeex she gets fevers for everything else, every little cold, teething, ear infections, etc and her doctor asked me a couple times if she had a fever with it, I just assumed that if it were serious she would have a fever, but I'm not sure.
@girlmombie00, it could be a yeast rash... that's what they figured out mine was... so the doctor gave me some special diaper rash cream to put on them, and it totally helped! Hope you get some answers! My daughter can't have apples anything at all right now... they do some serious damage to her! Not worth the risk of the horrible diaper rash!
Does she normally get fevers? I do along with chills and the boil is hot .
@dreeex See, that's why I'm freaking out! Staph terrifies me. I almost wonder if it's worth going to the hospital tonight or if I am over reacting and it can wait until the morning, I mean she doesn't have a fever yet.
@dreamermom I can't think of anything pacific, except come to think of it, this all actually did happen after she had the worst diaper rash after she tried a new apple juice, but I didn't tie the 2 together because it was about a week later she got the first boil.
It is staph have her tested for MRSA I get boils on my butt and there painful size of golf balls to where I need to get them drained and packaged if it hurts for me it deff hurts for ur baby .. keep them covered when they pop and clean them
@gabrielleharrison1992, my daughter got boil like things on her bottom after a bad diaper rash, and I'm seriously thinking the diaper rash was from blueberries... I had never given them to her before... so I thought that maybe it was partly an allergic reaction, have you tried any new foods with her
No ma'am, not super recent. She had a pretty bad diaper rash less than a month ago and I got some baby cornstarch powder to use. It worked so well that we've used it occasionally since then. That is the only new thing I can think of.
Is she having diarrhea? My son had a blister on his butt from having diarrhea which caused a rash all around his butt. It endes up popping on its own.
Thank you ladies for all your advice! You've been very helpful! ☺
