I wouldn't worry about showering. 😂 you just gonna get messy in child birth anyways. I've had my break spontaneously as well as the doctor breaking. 1st spontaneous was my induction, she was born 2.5 hrs after water broke, 2nd spontaneous she was born 5 hrs after water broke, 3rd spontaneous was born 12 hours after it broke. Generally speaking once your water breaks you are getting close and things will move pretty quickly...

@serenemom, awe! They induced me at 40 weeks 2 days because of our heart rates, so they broke my water and it was still hours before he came 😕

@jaxmomma .for my 3rd son my water broke and 1 hr later i went to hospital w contractions..i showered.used restroom&did my makeup then woke my man up ;) with all 3 son's i arrived to hospital and was 4 cm dialted.i know my body&last son was on labor 13 hrs..my 2 other son's came in 2 hrs

@halsey11, I know lol but even with my first I had awful contractions and had to shower before going in. I just had to or I would have gone nuts haha I made sure I was in the shower 45 mins after I had him too 😂 but thank you, that helps. I was told that he would also come even faster because he's only 12 months apart from my 1st. I'm so nervous for it to break on it's own. My luck I'll be in the grocery store or something. My husband almost passed out when he saw them break my water, so I'm hoping it doesn't happen in a store full of people haha

@jaxmomma, idk... all of mine were very close in age. My oldest are 2.5 yrs apart and the others are all roughly 18 months apart.

My quickest labor was my 2nd & 4th.

@sherrynygirl, ah that is a relief! Haha I have to shower or I'd lose my mind lol with my first I thought I was going into labor so I did my makeup and looked great and ready haha it was false labor. I went home, took my makeup off (looking rough) haha then went into active labor the next day and totally forgot about putting makeup on because I felt like I was dying haha I was 40 weeks and 2 days. Contractions were 1-2 mins apart. I got to the hospital and was only dilated to 1 so they ended up inducing me. I'm hoping this one is smoother sailing lol

@jaxmomma my water broke with my last one and i was in labor 17 hours before they did an emergency csection... i went to the hospital right away but that was because it was pure blood

Actually for my two babys the water broke by herself... And trust me i had the time to shower get my last minute things done then go to the hospital where the contractions got me right away every 3mins lol
