He was miserable, cranky, he drooled a lot, he was biting on literally everything just trying to soothe the pain. Just give your little babe some Motrin/Tylenol and either give them some tethers, or even freeze a wet wash cloth. It helps numb the gums and they can pull on it and it soothes that feeling. My boy just got his first two teeth at 7.5 months. His gums were harder but not really a different color, they looked a little swollen/puffier around where the teeth were, and if you pressed down you could feel a hard line. He drooled a lot more than usual, chewed on anything hard, but wasn't much crankier. @pnkbuttafly234, @rjmmommy16,
My daughter didn't cut hers until she was 10 months. It just depends on the baby. My son is 8 1/2 months and hasn't cut any yet. But he does drool a lot and chew on everything. I'm starting to think he's going to be like his sister and not cut them till he's a little older.

My son just got his first tooth at 6 1/2 months. He doesn't seem to be in any pain over it and doesn't drool at all
