Mamas how do you know when your water breaks? I know its a big amount of wated but are you able to stop it by squeezing down there like when you have to hold your pee or will it still come out? My water never broke with my son so not sure.

my water didn't break until I was in active labor but when it did it was a slow leak. it felt like I was peeing myself lol it was uncontrollable for me.

you will feel a pop sensation and a big gush. you can't hold it because it comes from your uterus not your vagina.

@kambam okay thanks!! I went pee at 3am and it was just so much more pee than usual and I didnt turn on a light to see lol i went back to bed thinking if it was water. But I was able to stop it.

My water ruptured literally looked like a little pee spot lol but the contractions started to hit IMMEDIATELY after so I knew it was GO time

@mommytokai oooh okay. Not having anything and I was able to squeeze and hold my pee so couldn't have been my water

@andrewsmommy I felt a pop and then like a minute later my water broke, at first it felt like I peed, then I stood up and straighten my back out and it was like the movies. It was quite a bit.

Mine started leaking slowly, no contractions or anything and I just thought I kept peeing my pants lol. It didn't completely break until I was in active labor and then it was A LOT and definitely uncontrollable.

I was on the hospital bed when mine broke and it felt like I was slowly peeing myself and I couldn't stop it. I apologized for peeing lol
