I haaaaattttteee my job and before finding out I was pregnant I was looking for other positions. Now I'm contemplating what I should do! Should I continue my search and try to find a company that has immediate benefits or should I stick it out?? This job stresses me and I'm stressed about looking for another one 😩😩😩
@first_timemom17, my employer didn't give any. Not unless you had vaca or sick built up.
@levismom, I love my coworkers.. well the ones on my team.. it's just the work load.. and the others.. I'm in IT and everyone feels like their issue is so important or it's drop everything your doing
@first_timemom17, oh girl I hear you. My attitude was nasty at that job. I knew it was only temporary too and it felt like 9 months would take an eternity. But it went quicker than I thought it would. Towards the end I was SO hateful to some of my coworkers. 🙊 I only liked 2 of them lol. They all thought it was pregnancy horomones which was a win for me. They don't know me like that though. Otherwise they would have known, when I don't like someone, I don't really hold back that I don't like them. Lol.
@babylove11416, yes I wouldn't leave until I had an offer letter with the salary and so forth.. I know some companies do day one insurance and some vary
@beebaby, that's what I worry about as far as leave. I know some companies require a year.
@levismom, thank you! I'm prop going to wait but it seems so long. I was talking with boyfriend and he made me realize it's only temporary but my attitude is already bad.
I'd say stick with it until you know you have another job. Even if my job doesn't pay me as much, I just got an interview with a better paying job. And I'm not leaving mine until I know I got the job.
I was in the EXACT same boat as you. I wasn't able to find another job and I got stuck there. It was a sales job and I am horrible at sales. Towards the end I was about to get fired. So I took my leave at 36 weeks and when I was due to go back in January, I quit. Now I'm staying at home but if I was going to go back to work I would have used my time off lookin for a new job. It's a tough decision. Good luck!
@nkinsey, yes... I'm going to have to stick it out because of that... and finding a job is a job within itself that I don't think I need to deal with right now anyway
