@beebaby the pediatricians office just called five minutes ago and said his results are in but his Dr isn't actually there so we have to call the lab who did his blood work to know what they are

How long until you know?

It is a coconut base. It does have soy in it but it's not as harsh. It is really expensive. I pay 28 a can or 49 for a big can

@beebaby breast milk still has the sugar galactose and he may not have the enzymes to break it down which would basically mean my milk is a toxic alchol and would kill him.

It is enfamil brand

It's an hypo allergenic formula

So why can't the baby have your milk if you don't eat dairy?

It's funny you mentioned pumping I was pumping when I posted.(we have 250oz in the freezer )It's actually not an issue of latching, or producing. I breastfed for the first 12 days of his life. Only for his pediatrician to tell me that his "newborn screening" showed he was borderline for galactosemia. And he has to be on Soy formula until they are certain he doesn't have it..(And if he does he can never have milk at all)

Have you tried to pump out your breast milk and bottle feeding him?
