Babies aren't suppose to eat solids until at least 6 months. Their digestive system aren't strong enough yet.

I gave my daughter food at 4m and never had any problems with it, but I'd still get a doctors approval first. Most of the baby foods have a 1st stage and that means they're perfect for 4m+. The beechnut ones even say 1st stage 4m+. If she could handle what you gave her, then she should be just fine.

i never heard that u couldn't give them foods until 6 months. i heard when they sit up as early as 4 month u can give it. just have to give it in stagesm stage one foods are soupy kinda. if u make her food and make sure it is liquidy like that then she should be good. and then stage 2 when she gets more teeth and stage 3 when ahe is older....the only thing i would suggest is if u make her food instead of buying then dont put all the stuff u would for your food loke seasoning, sugars, butter etc

I started my son on foods at 5 months if she showing signs give it to her my son eats very well with spoons snd everything just repeat w.e u give your baby to make sure they dont have a bad reaction or anything so u could know what foods make the baby break out 😊

@goodjourney, @zealous, thank you!! She's been reaching for solid foods but today was the first time she turned down my boob while hungry. Mom tuition told me to mash the potatoes on my plate and she ate from my fork no problem. Even opened her mouth wide for it. But I'm going to do cereal first and introduce my own prepared baby food to her little by little.

Thats good i even mix my son's formula with food cause he doesn't drink it regular he needs flavor now
