Urgent please answer with the best abilities possible. My sister just had a baby boy he is 3 months old, the father is married to someone else and leave in Nebraska he is from India his name is not on birth certificate of that baby, they only thing is he give her money for the kid and only sees him 2 times a month he just told me he is going to get joint custody of him the thing is his wife has been is mental institution for trying to kill him and her self. So my question is what are the chances of my sister getting a full custody of that baby with help of government support I baby set him all week and she has a place for him to sleep and she got a job.

Moms usually win custody,, she has support and will be getting a job. shell be fine good luck btw

Regardless if his name is on the certificate or not,, she can file for sole custody. she can say hes barely there with their son and he lives in a different state and he lives with someone unstable. she would most likely need some sort of proof, like him admitting it.

did your sister put his last name or just hers? Because she can go to the court house to file for full custody for herself if she only put her last name on there if she really doesn't want him to get joint custody.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
