I think I scared myself by watching a Epidural video.. idk if I wanna get one now 😷

@shanellamari, you don't really feel much. I was scared out of my mind to get one because I've heard crazy stories. Just try to stay calm and breathe and like all these ladies said, no more watching videos 😊

Idk I don't wanna tell you something and then your ob or hospital do otherwise. My anesthesiologist told me we had to wait till my contraction was over and that I had to sit at the edge of my bed and sit up as straight as I could. I was like teddy bear hugging one of my nurses lol (she was amazing support and she was only in training) but they told me I couldn't lean on her I had to sit up and not lean on anyone. That's what made it all so uncomfortable. Plus that pitocin goin and bein so tired. I'm sure yours won't be bad! Some girls take it like it's nothing but deff never watch videos. I never did and I'm glad I didn't I would've been freaked out. Just like I have watched videos of like tattoos and piercings and it made me freak out but then when I got them I was like wow.. that was nothing. So I over panicked for nothing! Lol @shanellamari,

My sister told me it's best in the middle of a contraction but some doctors actually don't let you. Mine didn't. So it was probably the most uncomfortable thing, to me it was worse than the contractions, I was whining like a kid but maybe that's cause I hadn't slept in 3 days and I was being induced. It's not that bad and it only takes like two minutes! 😊

@shanellamari oh my! several times? I got poked several times with the IV needle because they couldn't get my vein 😖but in my experience, I don't remember feeling the needle for the epidural, it was a small pinch, and then you feel this jolt in one of your legs, like a spasm. I was scared too, I thought before I went into labor like, do I really want to get this? and I just couldn't take the contractions anymore, I stalled at 5-6cm for a while and then the burning pain. so it was very much relief.

I absolutely detest needles but I had no choice I had to get the epidural I had a c-section.. @shanellamari the only thing you feel is it going in... after that absolutely nothing!! 😊😝😫💯

@bluepenguin, I'm trusting your word too! I've heard so many people say u do feel the needle, and they had to get poked several times, and I'm like😩😩😩

you'll do fine! I had one, and I'm terrified of needles. my contractions were burning so bad in my back and thighs I wanted relief! the downside, I'm super ticklish! so when the touched me I jumped haha everything will be fine :)
