Hi mommas!
Having trouble finding a formula that LO can handle. Most make him fussy/gas pains/constipation. His doc asked for us to try Similac Total Comfort now (even though he prefers organic). We have tried Similac Sensitive, baby's only lacto-relief, baby's only soy, earths best soy.
What formula do you use for your little ones?
@mamabishop, I've really been thinking about it! Asked the pediatrician yesterday if I could start giving him high fiber purées but he advised to wait until 6 months because of his sensitive tummy! I don't think I will wait that long cause obviously little man is hungry. Just have to try it when he's 4 months and see how it goes!
wow.... poor lil man...I can't stand wen the docs can't help....he needs to eat.....maybe just maybe I know he's young but u should try to spoon feed him...like the rice cereal...the oatmeal baby cereal...u know something rich in fiber to help him get through the gasiness and stuff @zapper
@mamabishop, nope! He will eat the first oz or two ok then it's fighting the bottle the entire time. We have to work at it for 30-45 min for him to eat his 5 oz. then 2-3 hours later he's crying like he's hungry and the cycle repeats.
@mamabishop, he just keeps saying our son is "sensitive". Ugh. It's easy to say that when you don't have to deal with him screaming at every bottle!
aww I'm sorry to hear that...the doctor couldn't give you any suggestions? I hope he gets better @zapper
@mamabishop, I wish I could have breastfed. Sadly, my milk just never came in! So ever since he was born it's been a struggle of pains/aches/gas. I finally got to the point where I stopped feeling so guilty about it being my fault I couldn't produce and now it's just all about finding the right formula! Can't wait for a year to go by and just be on food and organic milk!
start with very small portions and he should be fine and even keep giving him milk....I wish you the best with it all and I hope he gets better soon @zapper
