Fingers crossed for tomorrow! Taking LO (again) to the pediatrician.
Still having issues with his tummy. We are back to screaming at every feed (formula fed) despite the change to soy (per the doc). No spit up and slight constipation due to the soy.
I'm thinking of requesting a milk/soy allergy test to be sure. I would hate to keep him on soy since it's so constipating for him.
Any suggestions from mommies that went thru something similar are welcome!

My daughter had the same symptoms so her pediatrician started her on Zantac and she's like a whole new baby,
Yeah I know if babies have a milk allergy they have a 50% chance of being allergic to soy also. Not sure what brand you use. I know Nutramigen is good, we tired it for a bit. Then if baby also has a corn allergy on top of it you'll need the RTF similac allimentium. I've tried them all. He spits up really bad but couldn't tolerate the Enfamil AR for spit up so we stuck to prosobee.
@jacesterlingsmommy, I think it's possible about reflux. We briefly discussed silent reflux as he does not spit up often. I just feel so bad for him! Dairy seemed to make it worse but now we are back to crying all the time again so I'm not sure anymore.
Yeah I went through something very similar finally switched my daughter to enfamil ar and it's perfect
I went through something similar. Could he have reflux? We switched to soy and it helped and also take zantac for reflux. We tried all kinds of different formulas.
Anyone’s baby have a milk protein allergy, and is on a soy based formula? How did you resolve the constipation issue. 😣 Is that right? Soy formula makes a baby more constipated?

What's a good formula for baby's that are constipated? My daughter is on soy and she screams every time she poops 😭 I'm currently substituting formula when breastmilk isn't enough
my son is constipated from me changing his formula to soy. is there anything I can do or give him to help? he's a month old

Last night, December 8th, 2015, at 9:58pm, our sweet precious baby boy was born sleeping. We spent 5 wonderful hours with him: holding him, talking to him, singing to him, mourning him, praying for him, and weeping over him.
Question: I hate seeing my little boy suffer from gas pains/constipation. we changed his formula 3 TIMES! First it was gentle (he was gassy & was spitting the formula up here and there) then soy (he was doing good EXCEPT his poop was diarrhea like) & Saturday the doc switched him to alimentum. but now he's constipated/gassy ALL OVER AGAIN. we give him gripe water but idk what else to do to help him :( Any advice mommies!
I was severely allergic to my formula as a baby it may not be the soy it could be something else in it
