Hi. I've been very worried the last couple of weeks because It's been determined by my doctors that I may have an incompetent cervix. I'm 27 weeks and can't bear the idea of delivering my baby early. I'm on progesterone nightly and on bed rest. My cervix is at 1.5 as of yesterday. And my last two ffn tests were positive. I'm just wondering if anyone had a similar situation and had a good outcome? Or made it full term? My first pregnancy 6 years ago wasn't like this and I know all pregnancies are different but sheesh... I'm losing my mind here. Any suggestions?

@gbaez0203 make sure u get that shot. I got it and they go back 24 hours later for second dose. they you can get it again no sooner then a week later but my doctor said they will wait if I go into labor. stay positive. I went to my doctor yesterday and my cervix is still closed they stopped measuring it that I'm at 33 weeks. he said and I've read women can go to term with short cervix so stay positive. again u can always hit me up for support. it will be ok. bedrest bed rest bed rest and no sex. and it's been working for me. ! be well
@ginac, hey thank you for the response. She's at 3.1 lbs and no steroid shots yet. She did tell me about it during my last visit.
@gbaez0203 my cervix is at. .9 now. I did a lot of research and with bed rest it's possible that cervix gets longer I read a lot of women going to term. try and keep off ur feet less pressure on ur cervix is better.
@gbaez0203 I got put on bed rest 2 weeks ago for my cervix being down to nothing. I got put on cirone at night but doc said it probably won't work. I had a positive ffn which 2 weeks later and she is still cooking. and those tests are only 5-10% accurate so don't focus on that. just rest it's all I've been doing and so far so good. but everybody is different. reach out whenever u need. hopefully I can help. I'll keep you. in my prayers. how much does baby weight? did they give you steroid shot for baby lungs?
