We just got back from my sons 6 month appt. The doctor told us he has eczema and said only Vaseline…

I just noticed eczema on my sons face but no where else and i am not sure what to put on it or how to treat it. I thought it might be from the cold weather and drooling from teething but now i wonder if its an allergy but how do u find out what the allergy is to???

I've had eczema all my life. I have one food allergy.

All 3 of my kids have eczema and only one has a good allergy. The best stuff I found for my kids' skin is Cerphil (maybe spelling it wrong) and all Aveno products

Ok! She said stop the coconut oil that I'm using on him bc he could have a nut allergy which could be causing the eczema to flare up 🤔@santistevanmommie,

It could be! I don't use coconut oil on myself often

I don't know if I should go to the allergist to get him tested or just slowly try different foods and look out for a reaction @santistevanmommie,

I wouldn't take him in. Try them slowly. My daughters father has a bunch of allergies so we tried everything he was allergic to just in case. She hasn't had a reaction to any of it.

I want to try peanut butter so bad but I'm scared 😬lol @santistevanmommie,

@adrianliam, strawberries. That's another one that our dermatologist recommended too

If you do try it, just watch him all day just to be sure.
