I need advice! ftm!
so my son STILL is spitting up after almost every feeding. I keep him propped up while he eats & burp every ounce & a half to see if it would help. it doesn't. I've tried different bottles and this is his 3rd formula he's tried. I have no idea what to do, I feel so bad 😭😭
We are also on soy formula. I thought mine had silent reflux before switching to soy. Prescribed Zantac and he had a bad reaction to it! Severe constipation and tummy pains. We stopped that per pediatrician advice and switched him to soy. Still having constipation issues but overall a happier baby and still gaining well!
Milk soy protein intolerance. Definitely worth a mention to your ped.
Yeah we're on soy formula too. Tried about 5 different kinds before just sticking with this one. It's sucks and I smell like barf all day but it is what it is. lol Have you tried the Enfamil AR? My son is always in the 2% for his weight. At 8 months he's 15lbs.
I'm going today to his ped, he's even on soy now and it's not doing any different. I wanna try the similac for spit up or the gentle tummy one for easy digestion. @housfullofgrls, @jacesterlingsmommy,
yes he's so happy, always cooing & smiling!! he's gaining weight perfectly, 11 pounds & almost 2 months! @zapper,
Is he a happy baby? Gaining weight and in above average percentile? If so, he might just be a "happy spitter". But is he's uncomfortable or refusing feedings/arching back/fussing at nipple/bottle then you may have a reflux or GERD issue.
Call dr sounds like reflux may give you meds
My son has reflux and on zantac but will also spit up whole bottles. Been doing it since he was a newborn. Doctor isn't worried since it's not bothering baby. He's small for his age but it's not of concern. Some babies just spit up alot. I just wish it would go away. He's almost 8 months old.
gripe water helps with reflux and tummy issues with some kids and there are all natural brands to try
