So, while this will be my third child, it will be my mother in law's first actual grandchild. She's super excited, which is great. She wants to plan and do a baby shower. Which is completely fine by me. Except she is asking me who to invite. All of my family and friends are in Michigan. They won't be able to travel down here for a baby shower, then again when baby gets here. All I really do is work, and almost all of my coworkers are old enough to be my mother or grandmother. So, we get along, but don't so much hang out outside of work. If she wasn't so excited about doing a baby shower I just wouldn't have one. It's just making my hormonal brain all depressy. 😑

@moodyseahorse i feel ya. I had like 2 old ladies from work, my fiancé, my mom and few others. My MIL is a total pain in the ass tho. She's rude, overbearing and spiteful. I was like "no, I'll pass on tuna fish sandwhiches at the shower" 😑 lmao
@jessijane84 I'm sure I'll have a good time once I'm at the baby shower. It was just the sudden realization that I have nobody here. And I have nothing bad to say about his family, they're great. Have been super supportive about everything. Even though my first two aren't actually related to any of them, they treat them no different then if they were. I just didn't really think about all of it until I was asked who I wanted to invite
This is exactly my story except it was my first baby. I just tried to make the most of it. It was depressing at times but at the end of the day i just had to remind myself to be thankful for any help i could get. Pack of diapers here. New onsie there. Chin up, buttercup 😙
@jessijane84 Lol oh jeez. Atleast I got lucky on the MIL front. Fiancé invited some of his coworkers wives, so there will be atleast a couple ladies there that are more my age group
