Question ladies, when did you start introducing solids to your baby.. or caldos (chicken soup) my daughter just turned 4 months and I was wondering if it's the right time or way to soon. Her pediatrician appointment isn't until the 13th..should I wait to consult her or maybe try giving her some purée peas or carrots. Any feedback is helpful .

Do you feel she's ready? Does she sit up well? Does she still have the tongue reflex to push food out of her mouth? I forgot what that's called lol.... but as a mom, you know her way better. I would personally wait another month or two, or at the earliest, until you consult with the pediatrician. But if you definitely feel she's ready, your next move would be, are you buying baby food or making your own

my doctor had me feed my daughter solids at 3 months old because she had doubled her weight from birth and has good head control. I started her on watery rice cereal.

I started caldos & a little bit of gerber at the end of three months. My family's Mexican & they're all about starting them young lol! My mom & mother in law both started their babies at 3/4 months. Just start in small amounts if you feel like your baby's ready :)
