Battled ppa for 5 months before asking for help. The first doctor told me to power through... my mom told me to power through... my husband said antidepressants are bad news... a month later I asked my obgyn this time I was put on a low dose medicine to help with my anxiety. Fast forward 6 weeks. While my panick attacks are now few and far between my insomnia is off the charts. So I try to have a few drinks to help me sleep... nope makes it worse and I have a little too much to drink. My husband says he is concerned.. my mom says don't drink and go off the medication. So I do. Now 6 days later I tell my husband quit taking the medicine (of which he bitched about in the first place) his response well I thought it was helping? Why are you blaming the medicine for your lack of sleep? Maybe if you didn't go get drunk you would sleep. Mind you I stopped having anything to drink, stopped the medicine, started working out everyday. And I get attacked. Damned if I do damned if I don't.
I'm actually allergic to marijuana and it's not something I would necessarily do anyway. I've tried taking the medicine at different times and it doesn't seem to help. May just talk to my doctor again. No one else close to
Me seems to understand
Try taking your medication at a different time, or go back to the dr to see if there is a different type of medication they can try, I went through 3 before they tried Zoloft and love it. Also agree with @mommyofsoontob3, marijuana helped a lot and I miss it now that I'm breastfeeding. You just have to try a few different things til you find what works for you, and don't take the judgment to heart, you're the only one who knows exactly how you feel and what actually helps
It helped the panick attacks but gave me really bad insomnia. I average 4.5 hours of sleep a night.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?

Are you still breastfeeding? I had emergency C section and I HAD Postpartum. I was breastfeeding so I opted to not take any medication regardless how painful mentally especially physically but try to focus on yourself.
Try to take time for yourself. YOU NEED THAT.
Whether is going out to get coffee. Or staying in to just watch Netflix.
At least for 5 hours twice a week take time for yourself.
If the medication work and YOU WANT TO TAKE IT then take it but you have to make that decision.
