My 10 month old has 6 teeth but I haven't started brushing her teeth because she's still teething. Am I slacking on it? How do I start? Any advice or links are appreciated TIA
@beebaby, that's what I thought, but when I asked around, I was told to wait until 18 months. It made sense since she can't sit still anymore and likes to be on her own.
@ladybug91,That's cute that he's made it fun. I'll start brushing my teeth with her so maybe she'll copy me lol @theycallmemomma, I wasn't sure if I should dive right into using toothpaste, but starting with water puts me at ease @beebaby, I meant to, but I wanted to ask around first and kinda got distracted by stuff at home. Procrastination sucks
My husband brushes our daughters teeth since she got them. They do theirs together and she loves it now that she's a little older and teething harder. They do silly faces in the mirror and stuff, he brushes her teeth with a tiny toothbrush and a tiny dot of baby toothpaste. When she was a baby we used a damp cloth to wipe her gums then a finger cap brush then eventually the tiny brush. But yes starting the earlier is for the better!
