Tips on transitioning my almost 4 month old to his crib? Weve co-slept since he came home because he had issues keeping warm and would choke on his spit in his sleep, so it was easier to have him right next to me. Especially with breastfeeding as well. But now that hes older and sleeps for longer periods of time and no longer chokes on his spit, we want our bed back. Ive already tried putting him in the crib for his daytime naps and he will only sleep for 20ish minutes then wakes up crying. I also dont believe in letting him cry for more than 5 minutes. 10 at the absolute most. So the cry it out method is a no go. Thanks in advance!

Following this, we have co-slept since we brought her home. Same reason, because of some complications she was in a lot of pain for the first month or so and then it just became normal for her to sleep on our bed. I'm not quite ready to transition her but am looking for ideas once the times right. She also only sleeps in her crib for short naps.

Let him take his naps on your bed and when it's bedtime put him in his crib. he'll cry of course for bedtime so keep doing your way of cry it out but after those 10 minutes cuddle him a little and try again. He will eventually realise mommy and daddys bed is only naps. it takes a lof of work to get them into their bed after being in yours. ALOT lol I use to cry getting him into his bed just cause it was so difficult.

I've gotten my son transitioned but he wakes up hungry at night so he cries and I get up and get him and I don't remember it in the morning

I coslept with my daughter until she was 8 weeks old. I bought a rock n play to see if she would sleep in that and she's been sleeping in it every night and she sleeps through the night at 10 weeks. I'm now wanting to transition her to her pack n play since I'm not ready for her to be in her own room
