So my infant has really terrible gas. I can tell he's in pain and I'm giving him Hylands gas drops and they seem to work. He's exclusively breastfed so I'm wondering what are some common things that I should try to cut out of my diet to help avoid this? So far I can't seem to pinpoint any patterns...
drops are good. look up infant massage for gas and see if that works for you. baby wearing can help because it pushes on their tummy and being near you is soothing. keeping them distracted with walks, car rides, swings etc. ive read drinking chamomile can go into your milk and benefit them and they can even have it themselves but in small amounts. eventually they grow out of it and it gets better. ive researched too much on this because of my LO 😆 good luck!
Eating cruciferous veggies can cause gas in breastfed babies--broccoli, kale, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, etc... my son was really bothered by those, but he's gotten more tolerant as he's gotten older.
