I need some help! Every time I stand up for more than about 2-3 minutes; my legs, ankles, and feet swell to double their size and I get numb & tingly like they fell asleep. I wasn't worried about it when it was just random but now it seems to be every time I'm on my feet. 😟 I'm a little over a week from my due date, should I be concerned?
Thank you guys! I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow morning so hopefully he can let me know what's going on! 😘
@nturnerfl, @babylove1209, @pess83, @jlf240,
Mention it to your doctor and watch your blood pressure as previous posters said. If you get a bad headache, call your doctor immediately. That being said, I started swelling at about 12 weeks (only one leg!) and had serious cankles on both legs during my third trimester. It's very normal. Don't be surprised if the swelling is actually worse for a week or two after delivery. My water broke before I went into labor, so I was on an IV for hours and I swear the week after I delivered I thought my legs would split open they were so swollen! 😩
oh my well i had the same issue. except i got to the poing where my ankle was actually seeping fluid. painful as all get out. soak your feet keep them up when sitting ans make sure you mpve around every so often to keep circulation going. but as others have said. WATCH YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE! and dont be afraid to call your dr its their job!
The only thing I can recommend is to cut as much sodium out of your diet as possible and elevate your feet as often as possible
@missmary07, My blood pressure is normal. I just checked!
@mommy.to.sterling, @pess83, I try my best not to call my doctor for everything, but I think I might this time!
@jlf240, I live in South Florida so it's always summer! 😩
I had the same problem when I was pregnant. I was pregnant during the summer, though. My feet and legs were so swollen it was painful to walk or move at all. My doc gave me compression socks but it didn't help
@pess83, He said as long as my blood pressure stays normal, not to worry. 😊
